Natalia Malaga: “Another step closer to our goal”

 

Leon, Mexico, July 13- After their 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-16) victory over Egypt, Peruvian head coach Natalia recognized their opponent’s fierce performance in front of 800 spectators at the Feria de León at the FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship.

Natalia Malaga, head coach of Peru: “It was a good game against a fierce Egypt, our team knew how to react and be effective. Today’s game was another step closer to our goal and we need to focus now on tommorow’s match against Poland.”

Ariana Arciniega, captain of Peru: “Our goal was to beat Egypt in straight sets to reach the second round; tomorrow it will be a difficult game but we are going to do our best to get the victory and qualify in a better position for the next round in Aguascalientes.”

 

Elelemy Zeina, player of Egypt: “Peru is a really good team; I hope they will get the first place. China is also good and we have to play better against them. And finally I want to add that the local fans are supporting us so much, we really love them.

Mohamed Ahmed, coach of Egypt: “We improved our performance and had a good game against a good team like Peru. Tomorrow it will be so much better, every day is a new step.”
